Winter is approaching…time to save Energy!

I get also these questions quite often…What do I need to do before winter?  Is my home safe from the cold?  Its already cold, can you help me?

I am sure that you have heard by now that we are supposed to have a cold wet winter here in Ohio.  So what does this mean?  We all know that its an exciting season, yet due to mother nature many of us will be spending more time indoors plus many of you are preparing to continue to work from home.  On top of that, the Department of Energy as well as utility providers in our area have told us to expect energy prices on natural gas, heating oil and propane to increase 40 to 50%.  Given these predictions, we need to immediately begin to think about the conditioned space in our home or building and give a bit of extra thought into how we can make our home much more energy efficient.  The first and most important to consider and look into is the health and insulation of your attic.  As you recall from a prior blog, 45%+ of your energy loss is from poor or no insulation related to your attic.
