What to Expect From Your In-home Evaluation:

Congratulations! You’re on your way to a properly insulated home.  You’ve scheduled your in-home evaluation. 

When that glorious day comes, one of our insulation professionals will notify you when they’re on their way, via an app that will generate an automatic alert to you.  Once inside the home, you can expect some simple questions about why you’re interested, what you think may be going on, what you know about your current insulation (don’t worry if the answer is zero! See Blog Post 1), etc. 

At that time, our insulation professional will ask to be shown to the attic entry point, or wherever the problem spot that you’re feeling exists.  They will perform a full evaluation in this area.  If it’s your attic, expect them to set up, climb up a ladder and climb right in.  If it’s a closed-off area of the home, expect them to utilize our thermal cameras, if it’s a crawl space – well, they’ll start crawling. 

During the evaluation, our insulation professional will measure the temperature, distances covered, level of existing insulation, type of existing insulation, and other anecdotal notes that they’ll jot down. 

Typically, during this part of the evaluation, the insulation professional will have left some materials with you showcasing our different products, as well as some informational packets addressing typical FAQs for you to review. 

When the evaluation portion is completed, the insulation professional will begin to give you a debrief on the ‘state of affairs’ for your home’s insulation.  You’ll discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly, so-to-speak.  You’ll discuss fiberglass and cellulose, spray-foam and batt, solar attic fans and attic hatch covers – ask whatever questions pop up in your head, our job right now is to educate you. 

After this concludes, our insulation professional will suggest to you what they think makes the most sense for you and your home, and provide a quote for what that investment would look like.  It’s important for you to evaluate what makes sense and what may not for your budget, but the best chance of having the job completed as soon as possible is typically if you book a day for the job right then.
