Twenty-Foot Ceilings. A New Metal Home. An Insulation Job Raymond Wanted Done Once.

Raymond James is a contractor. He knows how much work goes into building a home.

When it came to insulating his own, he wanted that part finished correctly so he could move on.

He was turning a new metal building in Princeton into his home, complete with 20-foot ceilings in the living space. The attic needed insulation, but the layout called for more than blowing fiberglass across a flat surface.

A vertical wall separated part of the attic from the tall living space.

That wall needed attention, too.

Two Surfaces. Two Types of Insulation.

The goal was to create an insulated separation between Raymond’s living space and the attic.

Across the horizontal attic area, we installed blown-in fiberglass. Along the vertical wall beside the high-ceilinged living space, we installed fiberglass batts.

Each material fit the surface where it was needed.

The blown-in fiberglass provided coverage across the attic floor. The batts insulated the upright section dividing the attic from the living area.

That vertical section was an important part of the job. Covering the attic floor alone would have left part of the separation unfinished.

Raymond needed the whole scope handled—not another detail to come back and fix later.

Getting Someone Out There Was Part of the Challenge

The home sits in a part of Princeton where Raymond’s service options were limited.

We went out, completed both parts of the installation, and had the job finished in half a day.

For a contractor building his own home, that matters. There are plenty of other decisions, trades, and unfinished tasks competing for attention. Insulation shouldn’t become another item he has to keep chasing.

Our crew left a clean, professional installation, with the attic coverage and vertical batts in place.

Raymond could move forward with that part of the build complete.

This Time, the Contractor Is the One Moving In

Working for another contractor carries a particular kind of satisfaction.

They understand the work. They know what it takes to show up, handle the details, and finish a job properly.

Raymond was thrilled with the installation.

And this wasn’t a project he would finish and hand over to someone else. He would be the one living with the work after construction was done.

That made his priority straightforward: get the insulation right now, while the home is being built.

We completed the job with that same priority in mind. The right materials for the layout, attention to both the horizontal and vertical areas, and a finished installation he could feel good about.

Building a home with tall ceilings or an unusual attic layout? The insulation plan needs to follow the space you’re actually building.
