Custom 12-Foot Attic Ladder Installation in Georgetown, TX

We did something a little different on this Georgetown job.

This homeowner needed access to their attic, but they had really high ceilings. Too high for one of the standard attic ladders you can just go pick up at a store.

They needed a 12-foot ladder.

That’s not exactly something you’re going to find sitting on the shelf at Home Depot, so we had to go the custom route on this one.

A 12-Foot Ceiling Changes Things

Once you start getting into these taller ceilings, the normal attic access options don’t always work.

That was the problem here. The homeowner had an attic they needed to be able to get into, but no good way to actually reach it. Dragging out a huge ladder every time isn’t much of a solution either.

So, we installed a custom 12-foot attic ladder that was made to work with the height of this ceiling.

It gave them a permanent way to get up there without trying to make a standard-size ladder work in a space it wasn’t made for.

Not Every Attic Access Is Standard

We see all kinds of attic setups around Georgetown. Especially with some of the custom homes in the area.

Some are easy. Some definitely aren’t.

This is one of those things people don’t always think about when they have high ceilings. You may love the extra ceiling height downstairs, but then somebody eventually needs to get into that attic.

Now what?

That’s where we can help.

At Koala Insulation of Georgetown, we’re already working in attics every day. We deal with attic hatches, access points, insulation, ventilation and all the other things that come along with these spaces. A custom attic ladder is just another way we can make the attic work better for the homeowner.

High Ceilings? Koala’s Got You

That’s really the story with this job.

The homeowner couldn’t just run to a store and buy what they needed. Their house required something different, so we installed something different.

A custom 12-foot attic ladder.

Now they can actually get into their attic when they need to without bringing a giant ladder through the house every time.

We wanted to share this one because there are a lot of homes around Georgetown with high ceilings, and homeowners may not even realize this is something we can take care of.
