Bloomington Attic Insulation Project
What we found
This Bloomington attic was in rough shape. Not much insulation left, moisture hanging around, and a leaky setup that had been causing trouble for a while.
You could tell pretty quick the attic was not doing the house any favors. Air was slipping through in too many places, and once that starts, the whole space works against you instead of helping.
Starting over
We pulled everything out first. That was the only real way to handle it here.
After the removal, we sealed the gaps and leak points with closed-cell spray foam. That part is easy to overlook, but it is the part that gives the attic a fighting chance. If air is still moving through, the insulation underneath is already behind.
Putting it back
Once the sealing was done, we blew in new insulation and brought the attic up to R60.
That should help the space hold temperature better and stay more stable through the seasons. It also helps with the moisture issue, which was part of the problem from the start. In an attic like this, all of it ties together.

Why it mattered
A leaky attic with almost no insulation can make a whole house feel worn down. The HVAC system has to run longer, the home loses energy, and the same comfort problems keep showing up.
This one needed a reset. Clear out the bad material, seal the weak spots, and build it back the right way. Nothing fancy, just the right fix.
Wrapped up
The attic in this Bloomington MN home is in a much better place now. The old insulation came out, the leaks were sealed, and the new R60 fill should help the house feel better going forward. Call us or visit our website for a FREE evaluation!
