Drew and the entire Koala team were great to work with. From the initial consult/quoting process to the final walk through, they were attentive, listening, and willing to "do whatever it takes". It will take time to document the overall effectiveness of the spray foam product/process, so I hope to add definitive details to this note down the road.

Koala Insulation replaced and upgraded the insulation in my house. I'm very happy with the results (based on the last 2 weeks): the upstairs isn't getting so much warmer than the rest of the house, and it's generally more comfortable. I got multiple quotes, and after negotiation, Koala's price was near the median of other quotes. It was a moderately-sized job (~1300 sq ft each for attic and crawl space, both needed new insulation), which took 2 days.
Justin the project manager was great to work with: very responsive to my requests, and he promptly updated the statement of work when I asked to change the scope (from spray foam for the whole attic to only spraying the ducts and adding blown-in fiberglass). If I had to criticize something, I'd say the biggest pain point was the requirement to full vacate the house (including my cats) while the spray foam was off-gassing, but that would have been the same for all contractors.
The crew showed up at the promised time and got the job done on schedule without any surprises (e.g., kicking through the ceiling, running late, increasing costs, etc.), which is all that I could really ask for. So overall, I'm happy that I got this project done, especially before another blazing hot summer.
