Had them at our home yesterday to install the spray foam insulation in the section of attic above our family room ( converted from a garage) I wish we would've done this sooner. I noticed a huge difference in the temperature in this room as soon as I walked in the house, as well as the rest of our house was noticeably cooler The crew was very efficient and polite. The price was affordable as well I highly recommend
UPDATE: After posting the 1 star review and contacting my salesman at Koala I got a call back from the owner Matt apologizing for the work. He also assured me he would make it right. The following week he sent a different crew to my house that verified all of the mistakes from the previous crew and later that week came back to fix all of the problems. My attic now looks like what I expected from the first crew. If it wasn't for the issues from the first crew I would give Koala 5 stars.ORIGINAL: I called Koala to get some insulation added to my attic since it was nowhere near the R-38 recommended for our zone. Jason came out and I walked the attic with him to show him how shallow the insulation was (blown cellulose less than 4 inches) and to show him some of the eave baffles that weren't installed properly. He gave me a quote to fix the baffles, seal cam lights and get my attic insulation to R38. His 2 man crew (1 in the attic and 1 running the blower) did my whole attic in ~4 hours on July 3rd. Two days later I crawled the whole attic and found rooms where the insulation was less than 4 inches (should be 10.5 inches minimum everywhere), most baffles were never touched and the ones that were added were pressed up against the roof deck blocking all the airflow. I called Jason and he said to send him a report so he can set up a work order. I did that on July 5th and now I'm waiting to hear back from him. I'll update this review as things resolve.
Great company to work with. Excellent customer service from the start. Salesman was excellent and punctual as well as the installation crew. Highly recommend using this company and wouldn’t hesitate to use again.
Our insulation needs was for a high-performance home. The insulation used in different areas of the home was open-cell and close-cell. We are extremely satisfied with the air tightness of the home, sound proofing, and not to forget, the substantial benefit on our energy bill. The team was professional, dedicated, and the quality of work from them was by far, like if they owned the company. A special thanks to Joseph Miller, for being part of the work from beginning to end. Great work at a great price. I highly recommend them!
