Meet Koala Insulation of North Texas

If you’re exploring ways to improve comfort, efficiency, or overall home performance, I hope this gives you a clear sense of who we are, how we think, and why we do what we do.
Meet the Team

Built on Education, Integrity, and Doing What’s Right

I’m Jody Harr, owner of Koala Insulation of North Texas, and I believe homeowners deserve clear answers, honest guidance, and work that’s done right the first time.

I’ve spent more than 27 years in the home services industry, working directly with homeowners and business owners. Over that time, one thing has always been clear: when people understand their home and the options available to them, they make better decisions, and they feel better about those decisions long after the work is done.

That belief is what guides everything we do here.

Why We’re Here

North Texas homes face extreme conditions. Long, brutal summers. Cold snaps in the winter. Attics that regularly reach 140–160°F. And yet many homes are under-insulated, poorly ventilated, or both.

Most people assume their HVAC system is the problem. In reality, the issue is usually higher up.

Your attic plays a massive role in how comfortable, efficient, and healthy your home is. If it isn’t working properly, no air conditioner or heater can fully compensate for it.

That’s why we focus on the attic as a system, not a single product or quick fix.

The Attic as a System

Insulation alone doesn’t solve comfort problems. Ventilation alone doesn’t either.

A home works best when:

  • Insulation slows heat transfer
  • Ventilation removes excess heat and moisture
  • Airflow supports the HVAC system instead of fighting it

When those pieces work together, homes stay more comfortable, HVAC systems last longer, and energy bills make a lot more sense.

We evaluate insulation levels, ventilation performance, heat load, and airflow together—because that’s how real results happen.

Education Comes First, Always

One of our core principles is simple: educate first.

I want homeowners to understand:

  • What’s happening in their attic
  • Why certain solutions make sense
  • What options are available to them

That includes showing photos and videos, explaining findings in plain language, and answering questions honestly, even if that means the right solution isn’t working with us.

If something isn’t in a homeowner’s best interest, we won’t recommend it. We’re completely comfortable walking away from a project if it’s not the right fit.

The Koala Way

Being “The Koala Way” isn’t a slogan, it’s how we operate every day.

It means:

  • Doing what we say we’re going to do
  • Showing up when we say we will
  • Treating customers like neighbors
  • Respecting homes and leaving job sites clean
  • Taking care of our team so they can take care of our customers

Our goal is simple: when someone recommends us, they say “They really knew what they were talking about, and they did a great job.”

Local, Accountable, and Invested Here

Our team lives and works right here in North Texas. Our families are here. Our reputation is here.

Being local means we care deeply about how we’re known in this community, today and years from now. Referrals matter to us. Relationships matter to us. Doing right by people matters to us.

Built on Experience and Strong Systems

We invest heavily in training, processes, and doing things the right way. That structure allows our team to deliver consistent, high-quality results and helps homes perform better long after the project is complete.

Lower energy bills, fewer comfort issues, and less strain on HVAC systems aren’t accidents, they’re the result of thoughtful, system-based work.

If you’re exploring ways to improve comfort, efficiency, or overall home performance, I hope this gives you a clear sense of who we are, how we think, and why we do what we do.
