Spray Foam Insulation: Is It Worth It for Your Home?

What I like about spray foam is how it actually works. It doesn’t just sit there like traditional insulation—it expands and fills in all those little gaps and cracks you don’t even think about. So you’re not just adding insulation, you’re also sealing up the space at the same time.This can be a great option if you are ready to upgrade your insulation.

I’ve been in a lot of homes where one room is always uncomfortable no matter what you do with the thermostat. Usually, that comes down to air leaking in or out somewhere. Spray foam does a really good job of fixing that because it helps lock everything in place and keeps outside air where it belongs.

It tends to work best in areas like attics, crawl spaces, and around rim joists—basically the spots where your home is most likely to leak air. Once those areas are sealed up, people usually notice their home feels more even and easier to keep comfortable. Adding spray foam can reduce the stress on your AC during the summer months too. Spray foam may not be best option for your entire home and will be a tad more pricey upfront.
