Problems Caused by Insufficient Insulation
When you lack attic insulation, you'll find that your home heats up on a summer's day despite your air conditioner running full-blast. Heat can easily enter through your roof unless insulation protects the attic. Heat loss is also a problem in the winter, leaving your home feeling chilly. Proper insulation is needed in more than just the attic, but it's a good place to start. Homes in Hickory and Lenoir, North Carolina, often feature little to no attic insulation, leaving them overheating all summer long.
If you lack insulation in the crawlspace or basement of the home, you're more likely to experience condensation issues that lead to mold and mildew. Insulation does more than help maintain a comfortable temperature in your home. It's also essential for preventing temperature swings that can cause moisture to condense on various surfaces in and under the home, leading to mold or rot. Improving the insulation in your home protects it for years to come and gives you peace of mind.
Services Offered by Koala Insulation
We primarily specialize in insulation installation, pairing you with the perfect fit for your home. We can fill in large open areas with batt insulation, or we can close up tight spaces with spray foam or blow-in materials. There's no need to decide which material you want before we arrive. Our technicians can check wall, floor, and attic spacing and determine the best insulation options. We also recommend air sealing because it allows us to find gaps in the structure that let air flow in and out, along with insects and other pests. Solar attic fans help remove hot air to keep your home cooler in the summer, no matter what kind of heat wave you're dealing with. Don't forget crawl space insulation to finish off the project.

Brent’s team put spray foam insulation in our attic and we couldn’t be more pleased. They were very professional and did an excellent job. The temperature in the attic has dropped significantly allowing us to use the space for all kinds of storage and even an occasional workout on the rowing machine. 👍

Phenomenal experience. Brent gave us a quote and answered all of our questions… in fact, we ended up calling him 4 or 5 times because we kept having more questions.
When we finally told him we were ready, his crew came out two days later and knocked the job out. They examined everything to us and set us up for inspection.
We loved them so much, my wife’s parents got an estimate for their house nearby.

I got closed cell spray foam installed in my 28x56, 2 room metal garage, 7 walls and roof.
Pricing was better than others i had gotten quotes from.
I got to be honest here, I was afraid I wouldnt be happy with it. I figured I would again purchase something and it would be, excuse my french, half assed. Lol.
I have never hired anyone that was able to complete the job hired for and do it correctly.
I had myself set up to be disappointed and im not.
I think they did a great job.
I would recommend them to anyone needing this type of work done.

Contract agreed and deposit paid on Dec. 18th. Communication was lack-luster and I was frequently ghosted. A request for a refund in March was what got my existing insulation removed. Removal occurred on March 25th. I was told I would get a call next day to schedule spray foam insulation. But I was ghosted again. Threat of another installer got spray insulation installed in May. Spray foam insulation installed on May 8th. Rep came back on May 12th for final clean up. Six months to get this done. The service experience was not what was expected. Based on level of communication and length of time to complete, I do not recommend. As for the spray foam insulation itself. A week in and I already feel a difference in the house. I would recommend to anyone to change from the blown in or bat insulation to the spray foam insulation. But I would recommend a different installer.
