As the local owners of Koala Insulation of Eastern Carolina, Gary Smeltzer and Pam Simpson are committed to providing science-based insulation and moisture solutions to the communities we call home. We are proud members of the New Bern Area Chamber of Commerce and are dedicated to helping our neighbors improve their home’s comfort and longevity.

From the historic homes in New Bern to the modern builds in Greenville and the beach properties of the Crystal Coast, we know how the North Carolina climate impacts your home’s foundation and energy efficiency. We specialize in solving common issues like humidity in Carteret County crawlspaces, overheating FROG rooms in Pitt County, and moisture control in historic Beaufort.
Gary’s background in transportation and supply chain logistics ensures our projects are managed with maximum efficiency.

Pam’s deep roots in the hospitality industry ensure that every homeowner receives a professional, attentive experience from start to finish. We are honored to serve our local community, staying close to the families and businesses that make Eastern North Carolina so special.
